Every
project begins with an interview (whether formal or informal).
Upon the client’s decision
to work with Architechniques, Ltd., a formal contract/proposal
will be provide and work will only begin upon receipt of
a signed contract/proposal. The initial meeting during the design process typically
deals with programming. To briefly explain, programming
is a process where the requirements of the project are
thought through and a verbal description of the project
is generated. Most times clients already have a program,
which they discuss and provide to us. On occasion, Architechniques,
Ltd. will assist the owner in the generation of their program.
Upon receipt of the client’s
program, Architechniques, Ltd. generates schematic designs
for the owners review.
These schematic designs can include multiple floor plan,
site plans,

building elevations, basic
cost estimates and any other information necessary to relay
the intent of the design. Architechniques, Ltd. then presents
and meets with the owner to discuss this schematic design.
Architechniques, Ltd. may meet with the client several
times in this process to generate a design that works for
all parties.
When the client has approved a schematic
design, Architechniques, Ltd. will then proceed with
the development of that design.
This process puts more technical detail into the design
drawings. Plans and elevations are refined. Code
reviews are performed.
Building sections are generated. Additional design consultants
(structural, electrical, mechanical and civil engineers
along with any specialty consultants) are brought
on board to assist
with the design development. Again, upon completion these
design development drawings are presented and discussed
with the client. |
